This course provides an in-depth examination of current environmental issues, possible ramifications of such issues, and the relationship of various fields of study (economics, politics, geology, biology, chemistry, ecology, etc.) to Environmental Science. Students will conduct literature reviews, participate in research projects and contribute to class discussions. Laboratory exercises involve personal communication with people associated with government agencies, environmental organizations and pro-active citizens groups for the preparation and delivery of Powerpoint presentations.
