This course provides students with an understanding of computer system hardware and software concepts with an emphasis on the role these items play in program development. Among the topics to be discussed are the representation of data, the attributes of various hardware components, the interconnection of components in making a complete system, the role of the computer operating system and modern software engineering practices. Note: Offered spring semesters only.
