This course is designed to introduce students to the study of history from the local, as opposed to the national or international, perspective. Through an emphasis on the historical development of Herkimer County and its surrounding area, students will learn the research skills needed to find information not only on the history of Central New York, but any local community or region. Students may be expected to visit historical sites and presentations in the area.
