Digital Filmmaking presents the fundamentals of independent moviemaking, the documentary, video journalism, commercial advertising, public relations, computer graphic interface and web-based delivery of electronic media content. Digital video and audio production, scriptwriting, film and mass media studies, digital and traditional photography and computer graphic studies are combined with a strong liberal arts base in a highly-transferable degree that will prepare the student for occupations such as Multi-Media Artists and Animators; Motion Picture and Television Directors and Producers; Technical Directors and Managers; Audio and Video Equipment Technicians; Broadcast and Sound Engineering Technicians; Video and Motion Picture Camera Operators; Film and Video Editors; and Writers and Authors.

The Digital Filmmaking curriculum is composed of a variety of courses designed to provide the student with a broad background in the skills and techniques needed to be an effective producer of digital content. The curriculum is balanced with both theory and production courses offered in each of the four semesters, so students are involved in hands-on digital media production at all times.

The Digital Filmmaking program is designed to prepare students in careers in independent moviemaking, video journalism, commercial advertising, public relations, computer graphic interface design and web-based delivery of electronic media content.
