A student is placed on academic probation when:

He or she has a cumulative grade point average (GPA) that does not reflect satisfactory progress, given the number of credit hours attempted. The following chart shows the GPA, based on attempted credits, resulting in academic probation:

12 - 18 .50 - 1.49
19 - 36 1.00 - 1.74
37 - 48 1.50 - 1.84
49 or more 1.75 - 1.84

He or she has not earned enough credit, given the number of credits attempted. The following chart shows credit hours attempted versus credit hours earned, resulting in academic probation:
