Martin Babinec

Class of 1975 Business Adminstration

Since graduating from Herkimer with an A.A.S. in Business Administration, Little Falls native Martin Babinec has forged a career with pioneering advancements in the world of eBusiness and community service. Mr. Babinec earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University before embarking on a successful career in human resources management with international retailer Navy Exchanges that included assignments in the U.S., Japan and Italy. In 1988 he founded TriNet Group, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based online human resource service provider that grew to more than 350 employees by 1999.

Relocating to his hometown of Little Falls, Martin continues as TriNet's CEO and maintains an active presence in community service. He contributed to the launching of HCCC's eBusiness program, and assists with campus business training and alumni programming. He also serves on the Board of Advisors to the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and is active as a volunteer consultant to non profit organizations. He is a recipient of the Silicon Valley Entrepreneur of the Year award and was named HCCC's Alumnus of the Year in 2000.
