Assistant Coach: Jim Babcock
Jim Babcock is an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. He taught physical education (K-12) to boys and girls in the Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District for over 30 years. At Frankfort-Schuyler, he coached boys varsity basketball, varsity track and varsity baseball; helped pioneer the school's soccer program; and served as athletic director. He also was an assistant women's basketball coach at Utica College for four seasons.
Babcock is a former NJCAA All-American at Rockland Community College. In his second year there, he broke the school's single season scoring record. Having scored 40+ points in several games as a student athlete there, his jersey has been retired at Rockland CC.Babcock later played for Eastern Montana College, where he helped guide the Yellow Jackets to the NCAA Tournament two years in a row. Babcock was inducted into the Rockland Community College Sports Hall of Fame in January 2008.
Babcock is a graduate of Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT, and he received his masters degree in health, physical education, and recreation from Cortland State University. |
