August, 2006— The record-setting year for the Herkimer County Community College’s women’s lacrosse team continues with this week’s announcement from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) of the nation’s Academic All-American teams. What more could a coach ask for?”

The 2006 women’s lacrosse team broke all HCCC records with 13 victories, a Region III championship, 16 Academic All-Americans, and being named the NJCAA Academic All-American Team-of-the-Year.

“The NJCAA announcement of its Academic All-American teams is a prime example of one of our goals at Herkimer. The Herkimer experience means our student-athletes are guided and nurtured by professionals. The teaching and learning in our classrooms are second to none, and it carries over to the playing field,” said Donald Dutcher, Director of Athletics at HCCC.
