Assistant Coach: Sam Grande
Sam Grande enters his first season as assistant coach for the Generals. As a former player under head coach Pepe Aragon, Grande played for the 2003 and 2004 Region III championship teams, which finished third and second, respectively, at the NJCAA national final four. He was named to the all-Mountain Valley Conference and all-Region III teams in his senior year. He recorded 16 goals and 10 assists, and also scored in the 2004 national championship game. He received two SUNY Chancellors Awards, one for athletics and one for academics.
A native of Herkimer, Grande was a two-time all-Mohawk Valley Conference selection at Herkimer High School. After graduating from HCCC, Sam accepted an athletic and academic scholarship to NCAA Division II Bryant University where he was named Scholar Athlete of the Year (2007) and selected to speak at his graduation ceremony.
Grande holds an A.S. degree in marketing from HCCC and a B.S. degree in marketing from Bryant University.
