Herkimer Men's Soccer
Program History
A history of success surrounds the HCCC Men's Soccer Program! The Generals have won six National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national championships ('94, '95, '96, '99, '00, '05) and 18 consecutive Region III titles (19 overall). Under legendary former coach Perry Nizzi, the program became a powerhouse winning three NJCAA national titles in the mid-90's and establishing a national collegiate record with a 97-game winning streak during the 1994-97 seasons. After Nizzi moved on to Hamilton College in 1997, Pepe Aragon, a former player of coach Nizzi became head coach in 1998. Aragon has continued the success of the program leading the Generals to 10 straight Region III titles, three NJCAA national championships, three national runner-up and three third place finishes. He has been named the NSCAA National Coach of the Year three times ('99, '00, '05).

Generals huddle together before the national semi-final game vs. Potomac State (WV)

Herkimer has produced a myriad of outstanding players who have moved on to top Division I, II and III schools throughout the country. The Generals have also had six National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Players of the Year (Matt Tanzini '95, Jason Robinson '96, Andy Davis '99, two-time National Player of the Year Ricky Quest '00 and '01, and Dwight Barnett '05 and Miguel Martinez '06). Over the course of the last 25 seasons, Herkimer has compiled an overall record of 458-70-24.

1988 Regional Championship Men's Soccer Team --the first team to win a regional championship in the history of the program.
