Head Coach: Katie Scanlon

HCCC alumnus Katie Scanlon returns for her second year as head coach of the Women's Tennis team. In her first season as head coach, she led the team to a 7-2 record and a second place finish at the Region III tournament.

As a student at Herkimer, Katie won two consecutive individual Region III titles at 2nd singles and her team finished as Region III runner-up both years. Katie was named 2001 Female Athlete of the Year at HCCC for her accomplishments on the tennis courts and softball field.

Upon graduation from HCCC, she transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh where she competed at the first singles and doubles flight under the leadership of Coach Matt Mero. She earned a Doubles SUNYAC championship in 2001. She finished her athletic career at SUNYIT where she played volleyball and softball in the very competitive SUNYAC Conference. She earned the honor of Female Athlete of the Year at SUNYIT in 2003.

Katie is employed by Herkimer County Community College as the Advisement Center Specialist. She resides in Ilion with her husband Cory.
