Head Coach: Sharon Howell

Sharon Howell enters her 27th year as the Head Coach of the Generals Track & Field program. Howell's women's teams have captured 4 Regional Championships during her tenure (1982, 2001, 2002, 2008) and also finished as the National runner-up in 2001 and National Champions in 2008. Howell has produced 8 individual National champions as well.

A 1979 graduate of HCCC, where she was a track & field All American, Howell transferred on a volleyball and track scholarship to the University of Rhode Island where she set school records in the high jump and long jump.

An Associate Professor of Physical Education at HCCC, Howell earned her Master's degree from Cortland State in 1986. The 2001 & 2003 NJCAA Track & Field Coach of the Year, and 2008 Coach of the meet.  Howell resides in Ilion with her husband Bill and children, Amanda and Sharon.
