Herkimer Volleyball
Head Coach: Kristy Lynch
With nine years of volleyball coaching experience, Kristy Lynch will take over the head coaching position at Herkimer County Community College. A 1999 graduate of Herkimer County Community College (A.S. in Physical Education), Kristy Lynch competed on the HCCC women’s volleyball team and was named MVP in 1997 and 1998.
After coaching volleyball at the modified level for six years, in 2003 Lynch began coaching for the Caroga Lake Junior Olympic Volleyball Club under the direction of Jim Gabeler. The Club has had great success including three gold medal regional championships (14’s, 15’s and 16’s) in 2006, and a gold medal in 2007 for the16 and under team. Lynch also coaches varsity volleyball for the Oppenheim-Ephratah School District.
Lynch holds a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Ithaca College and
a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. She is currently employed as a health teacher at Knox Junior High School in the Johnstown City School District. She resides in Oppenheim with her husband Brett.
