Timothy F. Dunn, of Mohawk, is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee of the HCCC Board of Trustees. He also serves as Vice President of the Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) Alumni Association, a member of the Herkimer County College Foundation Board and a member of the Mohawk Central School’s Audit Committee.
Mr. Dunn joined Mohawk Valley EDGE as Vice President of Economic Development and Marketing in July 2006. His current responsibilities focus on global business attraction, specifically within the semiconductor, clean technology, biotechnology and information technology industries. He holds sole responsibility for the marketing and business development efforts for Marcy NanoCenter, with an extensive network in the nanoelectronics, semiconductor and photovoltaic manufacturing sectors. He is also engaged in multiple facets of business attraction, support and retention for EDGE, a comprehensive economic development agency serving Herkimer and Oneida Counties in Central New York State.
Before joining EDGE, Tim was Director of Business Development at the Harriman Research and Technology Development Corporation, an organization incorporated to transition the W. A. Harriman State Office Campus into a University Research Park. His responsibilities included land use planning, organization strategy and market research as well as coordination of marketing, and media and public relations for the Corporation. Further responsibilities included business development and new tenant recruitment for the Harriman Business Center, a business incubator facility located onsite.
From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Dunn served in various roles in State Government, culminating with appointment as Director of State Human Services Programs in the office of Governor George E. Pataki.
Mr. Dunn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Public Law concentration and a minor in American History from the University at Albany, where he will receive a Masters of Business Administration focused on International Marketing in July of 2009. Tim also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Social Science from Herkimer County Community College.
Mr. Dunn resides in his hometown of Mohawk, NY with his wife Elizabeth.
