Congratulations to all graduating students! Graduates participating in Commencement should report to the Technology Center no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, so proper marching order can be arranged. There will be a check-in area where all graduates report to receive their student check-in card (required for all graduates). There is no Commencement rehearsal.
Payment of Graduation Fee
All graduates must pay the graduation fee to the Bursar's Office regardless of whether they plan to participate in Commencement. The fee must be paid before your diploma can be released to you. If you are not sure whether you've paid the graduation fee, you may check your account summary on Student Online Services or call the Bursar's Office at 315-866-0300 x8315.
Caps and Gowns
Caps and gowns will be available for pick-up in the College Bookstore April 20 through May 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To receive caps and gowns, all students must show photo ID (i.e., driver's license, HCCC ID or other government-issued photo ID). You will be fitted for your cap and gown at pick-up, and will be asked to sign for them to be sure the College knows who is planning to participate in the ceremony. If you are unable to pick up your cap and gown during this time, contact Mr. Prokopienko at the College Bookstore by May 14 to make special arrangements (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 315-866-1550). You will be provided with Commencement announcements and guest tickets for admission in the College Bookstore when you pick up your cap and gown.
Guest Tickets
Due to limited seating in the gymnasium, each graduate will receive three (3) tickets for admission to the ceremony. Each guest will be required to present a ticket upon entering the gymnasium. Please note that announcements are not considered tickets. Seating is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests without tickets will be directed to the Sarkus-Busch Theater, located in the McLaughlin College Center, where the ceremony will be broadcast live on a large screen. View our campus map.
Photography
A professional photographer will take photos of you while you are on the platform during the ceremony. You will receive a color proof via postal mail, along with an order form, within a few weeks of the ceremony. For additional information regarding photos, go to www.geneseephoto.com. We strongly recommend you encourage guests to remain seated, as photos will be taken of each and every graduate.
Diplomas
You will receive a diploma case during the ceremony. Diplomas will be mailed to all graduates within a few weeks of the ceremony.
Reception
You and your guests are invited to a reception in the McLaughlin College Center immediately following the ceremony.
