Poet Joan Murray to Perform at Herkimer

National Poetry Series winner Joan Murray, also a writer, editor and playwright, will perform at Herkimer County Community College.
Murray is a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship winner, a Wesleyan New Poets Series winner, and winner of Poetry Society of America’s Gordon Barber Award. “Joan Murray is that rare poet who is really interested in the world…Her poetry is skilled, compassionate, wry and passionate,” said Robert Bly. The Harvard Review wrote “One of those few poets whose work remains accessible to both the scholar of poetry and the casual reader.”
Murray’s performance is open to the public free of charge.
