Pumpkin Basketball Clinic to be held at Herkimer

The women’s basketball program is sponsoring a “Pumpkin Basketball Clinic” this Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in HCCC’s gymnasium. The clinic is open to girls ages seven through 18. The cost is $15.00 per participant, payable on the day of the clinic. No pre-registration is required, however; participants are encouraged to contact Coach John Campagna at 315-866-0300 ext. 8398 or 315-866-8350 to confirm participation. Family rates are available, call Coach Campagna for details.
Check-in and team introductions begin at 9:00 a.m. From 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., participants will work on basketball skills in small groups. Three on three games will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. then five on five games will take place from 10:15 a.m. through 11:15 a.m. Following the basketball games, pizza and drinks will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Starting at 11:45 a.m. participants will have time to decorate or paint a pumpkin. Pumpkins will be provided; participants must bring their own paint supplies or decorating materials. There will be a contest for the most decorative pumpkin with winners receiving prizes. The pool will be open for free swim to all participants from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The clinic ends at 1:00 p.m.
