Cazenovia/Herkimer Education Program Information Sessions

  • Classroom-Administration Building (CA), 210

Herkimer College will host two on-campus information sessions on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in room CA-210 for anyone interested in courses leading to a bachelor of science degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education or Inclusive Elementary Education from Cazenovia College.

The part-time program, with the convenience of taking evening, weekend and online courses right on Herkimer’s campus, has an average degree completion time of three years and an affordable tuition rate of $250 per credit hour. Students with an associate degree and those currently working in the early childhood or elementary field who obtain a bachelor of science degree from Cazenovia are eligible to receive a dual New York State (NYS) teaching certification in early childhood and special education, or elementary and special education.  These graduates will have increased employment opportunities and commensurate teacher education pay, as NYS regulations have mandated that teachers in federally funded early childhood education have this specialized teaching certification.
