    The Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, August 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 295.
  • Herkimer College’s Kyle Roepnack Appointed to Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine
    Herkimer College’s athletic trainer Kyle Roepnack, Ilion, NY, has been appointed to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s (NATA) newly formed Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine (ICSM), along with 32 other collegiate athletic trainers from across the country.
  • Herkimer College to Offer START Days
    Herkimer College will offer several START (Student Testing, Advisement, Registration and Transition) Days for new first-year and transfer students for the fall 2017 semester. The next scheduled START Days will be held on Saturday, August 19 beginning at 1:00 pm and Monday, August 21, beginning at 4:00 pm.

    Herkimer County Community College was recently ranked second among two-year colleges in New York State by OnlineColleges.com.
  • Dr. Robert DeCarlo Appointed to Herkimer College Board
    Dr. Robert L. DeCarlo, of Herkimer, NY, has been appointed by the Herkimer County Legislature to the Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees for a term to expire on June 30, 2021. He will fill the seat formerly held by Alfred A. Barbato, who served on the Board for 15 years.
    Dr. DeCarlo was a podiatrist at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group from 1980 until his retirement in January 2017. He also served as the Group’s corporate compliance officer and chair of the Corporate Compliance Committee for 17 years as well as chair of the Risk Management Committee.
  • Herkimer College Soccer Camp
    Herkimer College’s annual soccer camp drew over 100 kids to Wehrum Stadium July 10th-14th to learn from Herkimer Generals men’s soccer coach Pepe Aragon, women’s soccer coach Jason Palkovic and several current and former players. The campers ranged in age from 6 to 15 years old, and most came from the local area with a few exceptions of kids traveling from as far as Las Vegas to attend the camp. Herkimer College offers several summer youth athletic camps and clinics each summer. Benefits for the kids include the opportunity to develop skills, gain experience, build confidence, and have fun. Additional camps scheduled this summer include boys baseball camp and boys and girls basketball camps. For more info, visit www.herkimergenerals.com/camps.
