Health and Fitness Classes at Herkimer College

Herkimer College will be offering the following non-credit health and fitness classes.

Healthy Eating Over 50 offers the benefits of healthy eating and teaches adults over 50 how to have a higher quality of life through eating healthy, a balanced diet and physical activity. This class will meet on Wednesday, April 8 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The fee is $19.

Yoga for all offers an introduction to breathing techniques, postures and poses and meditative relaxation. The class will meet for six sessions on Tuesdays from 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm beginning on April 14. The fee is $54.

Super Strength Class offers weight-room style exercise incorporating the use of dumbbells, benches and mats for core-targeted exercise. The class will meet for six sessions on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning on April 15. The fee is $36.

Gentle Yoga offers healthful benefits of nurturing physical postures, stretches and restorative movements to help relieve stress, tight muscles and restrictive physical health. The class will meet for six sessions on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm beginning on April 16. The fee is $54.

Pilates offers exercises that strengthen and tone muscles and provide flexibility and balance. It helps to create a healthy mind, body and life for individuals of all ages. Section E will meet for six sessions on Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm beginning on April 16 and section F will meet for five sessions on Mondays from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm beginning on April 20. The fee for section E is $39 and the fee for section F is $33.

Tabata Interval Fusion offers calorie burning exercise with intervals of kickboxing, step and arm, core exercises. The class will meet for six sessions on Mondays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning on April 20. The fee is $36.
