Congressional High School Art Exhibit Winners

Herkimer College hosted the 32nd Congressional High School Art Exhibit and reception on Saturday, March 28. More than 45 students from area high schools submitted artwork including paintings, photography, pencil and ink drawings and pastels.

The top pieces were selected by Associate Professor Emeritus James Bruce Schwabach. They will move on to a regional exhibit in Binghamton where three regional winners will be chosen. The regional winners’ artwork will be displayed in the tunnel to the United States Capitol for a year, and the artists will be invited to Washington, D.C. to attend a luncheon.

The six winners from the Herkimer College Exhibit are: Raeghen Corbin, Dolgeville High School; Anna Mead, Central Valley Academy; Samantha Daley, Little Falls High School; Chelsea Coyne, Herkimer High School; Nia Andrilla, Little Falls High School; and Leah McCaskey, Richfield Springs Central School.

The Cogar Gallery is located in the Hummel Corporate and Professional Education Center at the main entrance to the Robert McLaughlin College Center.
