Herkimer College Assistant Professor of English Christian Avis Publishes Book

Herkimer College Assistant Professor of English Christian Avis recently published a book titled Ironedge.

The fictional story is about a former mining town, Ironedge, that is experiencing rebirth, but the murder of one of its founders and the threat of a nearby goblin encampment hangs over it. It is up to the inquisitor Damulis to blow the lid off of the troubling secrets in this frontier town.

Ironedge was illustrated by Herkimer College Assistant Professor of Digital Graphics Blake Pitcher. It is available in digital form on Amazon for Kindle and Barnes & Noble for Nook by searching “C. T. Avis.” A softcover version can be purchased from www.createspace.com or www.amazon.com.

Avis has been employed as a faculty member at Herkimer College since 2003. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Oswego. Pitcher joined the faculty in 2006 and holds an associate degree from Herkimer County Community College and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNYIT at Utica/Rome.
