New Transfer Agreements with The College of Saint Rose

Herkimer College recently entered into new transfer agreements with The College of Saint Rose. The agreements will guarantee Herkimer College students a smooth transition upon completion of the A.S. degree in Childhood Education into the following degree programs at The College of Saint Rose:

B.S. Special Education/Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Biology Concentration
B.S. Special Education/Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Mathematics Concentration
B.S. Special Education/Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Social Studies Concentration
B.S. Special Education/Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), English/Language Arts Concentration
B.S. Special Education/Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), General Science Concentration

These agreements apply to transfer students who have completed the A.S. degree in Childhood Education and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. The College of Saint Rose reserves the right to evaluate transfer student applicants who do not meet the 2.5 criteria on an individual basis, and students transferring with a minimum of 60 credits will receive junior status. The College of Saint Rose awards guaranteed academic transfer scholarships, based on GPA, for two years in addition to a per-year Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

Herkimer College has more than 150 transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities in the private sector and SUNY. More than 60 percent of Herkimer College students transfer after graduation.
