Herkimer College Professor Christian Avis Releases Second Novel

Herkimer County Community College Assistant Professor of English Christian Avis released his second novel entitled Upshot: An Inquisitor Damulis Novel with cover illustration by 2016 alum Xanthian Moon Lincoln.

The 254-page fantasy novel features the protagonist Damulis as he tracks a sorcerous killer through the streets of the Crown City. Damulis, however, has his own problems with the law, and the wizards of the city would rather thwart him than help. Damulis must use all his wisecracking wit, machine world experience and martial art prowess to catch up with a killer that bears fearful similarities to himself.

Avis, of Little Falls, NY, joined the Herkimer College faculty in 2003and teaches writing, literature, mythology, science fiction and fantasy. His first novel was titled Ironedge: An Inquisitor Damulis Novel which initially features the character Damulis. Find both novels online via amazon.com.
