Herkimer College Appoints Area Coordinator

Herkimer College announces the recent appointment of Vince Brookins as area coordinator for the Reservoir Run residence hall community. Brookins will be responsible for the supervision, mentoring, and management of 125 student residents and four resident assistants. As a member of the Residence Life staff and Student Services team, Brookins will share central housing office duties and participate in the on-call residence life duty system.

Brookins most recently was president of Success Images: Brookins Academics and Physical Education, based in Cleveland, Ohio. As a community-based organization, Success Images prepares students for standardized testing and provides tutoring, guidance, counseling and nurturing in order to help them achieve their academic and career aspirations.

Brookins holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. He played professional basketball from 1981 to 1989, signing with the Detroit Pistons and then playing for teams in England, France, Austria, Taiwan and Japan.

Herkimer College offers a residential life program with approximately 630 students residing in three housing complexes adjacent to the campus.
