Dan Carey ‘04 appointed general manager for the Colorado Mammoth
Dan Carey ‘04 was recently appointed general manager for the Colorado Mammoth. Carey was promoted from his role as the team’s director of player personnel, and will be only the second general manager in the history of the team. At Herkimer, Carey helped the 2003 lacrosse team to an undefeated season and was named All-American and Herkimer College Male Athlete of the Year in 2004.
“Danny was a great player, teammate and is an even better person. I am honored to call him a friend," said Herkimer College Head men's lacrosse Coach, Jamie Ireland. "This is a great accomplishment and I wish him all the best. The Colorado Mammoth made a great decision in choosing Dan for this position. A left-handed forward, Carey was drafted #7 overall by the Colorado Mammoth in the first round of the 2005 National Lacrosse League entry draft. He played six seasons with Colorado and the Toronto Rock. Carey holds an associate in arts degree from Herkimer College and two bachelor’s degrees from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.
