Health and Fitness Classes Offered in July

Herkimer College announces non-credit health and fitness classes.

Burn & Firm is an easy to follow kickboxing and step aerobics interval workout. Section B will meet for six sessions on Monday evenings from 6 to 7pm beginning July 21st. The fee is $36.

Total Body Sculpt is a basic strength training class focusing on the core and upper and lower bodies. Section B will meet for six sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7pm beginning July 23. The fee is $36.

Yoga for All offers introduction to pranayama (breath work), asanas (postures) and savasana (meditative relaxation). Section B will meet for six sessions on Thursday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:45pm beginning July 24. Section C will meet for six sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:45 pm beginning July 22. Participants are asked to bring their own non-slip mats. The fee is $54 per section.

Gentle Yoga offers the healthful benefits of nurturing physical postures and stretches, restorative movements to help relieve stress, tighten muscles and restrictive physical health. Section B will meet for six sessions on Thursday evenings from 4:30pm to 6pm beginning July 24. The fee is $54.

Pilates exercises strengthen and tone muscles and provide flexibility and balance for individuals of all ages, shapes and sizes. Section C will meet for six sessions on Tuesdays from 12:30pm to 1:15pm beginning July 15. Section D will meet for six sessions on Thursdays 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm beginning July 17. The fee is $39 per section.
