Herkimer College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon will get his first crack at winning his 300th game on Thursday, September 4, against Mid-State Athletic Conference opponent Onondaga Community College Lazers. The game will take place at Wehrum Stadium at 7 p.m.

Aragon is in his 17th season at Herkimer, and his record is currently 299-27-14. Under his leadership, the Generals have won seven national championships (1999, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013), the last three in a row, and totaling 10 as a program since its inception in 1976. Aragon’s teams have won the Region III championship 17 years in a row, never finishing lower than fourth place in the NJCAA Division III national tournament.

Should Aragon get the victory, he’ll be the second head coach at Herkimer to accomplish the feat, putting him second in wins only to former lacrosse coach Paul Wehrum. Aragon surpassed his predecessor Perry Nizzi (291-56-11) in wins last year.
