Aragon Wins 300th Game

Aragon 300th win

Herkimer College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon won his 300th game on Thursday, September 4, in a 5-1 victory over Onondaga Community College at Wehrum Stadium. His record is now 300-27-14.

Herkimer (2-0, 0-0) has been led by Aragon for the last 17 seasons, accumulating seven national championships during that time.

Under Aragon’s leadership, the Generals have won seven national championships (1999, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013), the last three in a row, and totaling 10 as a program since its inception in 1976. Aragon’s teams have won the Region III championship 17 years in a row, never finishing lower than fourth place in the NJCAA Division III national tournament.

Aragon is on a short list of Herkimer College coaches to have accomplished this feat. He surpassed his predecessor Perry Nizzi (291-56-11) in wins last year.
