Welding Courses Offered at Herkimer College

Herkimer College will be offering non-credit welding courses.

Basic Welding is an introductory course teaching safety, oxyacetylene (Brazing & Gas) welding and cutting, basics of stick welding and how to repair ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The class will meet on Monday evenings from 5:30-8:30 pm for eight weeks beginning October 20. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, October 16. Students must provide his or her own helmet, safety glasses and leather work boots. All other materials and supplies are include. The fee is $199.

Intermediate Welding will focus on TIG and MIG Welding. Participants will learn to weld stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel as well as how to cut ferrous and non-ferrous metal. Students must have taken Basic Welding or must provide proof of prior welding experience. The class will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 -8:30 pm beginning on Wednesday, October 15. Pre-registration is required by Friday, October 10. Students must provide his or her own helmet, safety glasses and leather work boots. All other materials and supplies are include. The fee is $199.
