Health and Fitness Classes

Herkimer College will be offering the following non-credit health and fitness classes.

Yoga For All offers an introduction to pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures) and savasana (meditation). The class will meet for six weeks on Tuesdays from 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm beginning on February 24. Participants are asked to bring non-slip mats. The fee is $54.

Super Strength Class is a weight room-style exercise program incorporating the use of dumbbells, benches and mats for core-targeted exercise. The class will meet for six weeks on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm beginning on February 25. The fee is $36.

Gentle Yoga offers benefits of nurturing physical postures, stretches and restorative movements to help relieve stress, tight muscles and restrictive physical health. The class will meet for six weeks on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm beginning on February 26. Participants are asked to bring non-slip mats. The fee is $54.

Pilates offers exercises that strengthen and tone muscles and provide flexibility and balance to create a healthy mind, body and life. Section C will meet for six weeks on Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm beginning on February 26, and section D will meet on Mondays for six weeks beginning March 2. The fee for each session is $39.

Tabata Interval Fusion offers exercise that burns calories through intervals of kickboxing, step and arm, core exercise and easy to follow basic work. The class will meet for six weeks on Mondays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm beginning on March 2. The fee is $36.
