    New Student Trustee Sworn In, Kyle Poulos to Serve 2022-23
    Kyle Poulos, Criminal Justice '23, of Sanborn, NY, was named Herkimer College's new student government president and sworn in as student trustee at the College's Board of Trustees meeting held on Tuesday, June 27, 2022. His term ends in 2023.

    Herkimer College appoints Rosemarie Etienne as an advisement center specialist

    Herkimer County Community College has appointed Rosemarie Etienne, of Mohawk, NY, to the position of advisement center specialist. In this role, Etienne will be an assigned academic advisor to students in all areas of study.

    Etienne previously was employed with the Community Action Partnership of Madison County as a WIC nutrition assistant. She also has experience as a habilitation aide for Arc Herkimer, where she provided adult respite services for individuals with disabilities.

    Etienne holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in global health and development from the University College London in the UK.

    Herkimer College Announces 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
    Herkimer College has announced its Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2022 inductees. The induction ceremony will be held at the College during Fall Fest & Alumni Weekend on Friday, September 30, 2022. This will be the fifth class to enter the Herkimer Generals Athletic Hall of Fame.

    Herkimer College freshman pitcher Elora Wilmot (Cazenovia, NY) and freshman catcher Hailey Hunter (Deerfield, NY) were each named NJCAA Division III All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

    Three Herkimer Generals Baseball Players Named All-Americans
    For the second consecutive year, the Herkimer College had three baseball players named NJCAA Division III All-Americans. The selections, which are made by the NJCAA Division III Baseball Committee, were released on Monday, June 13.

    Local students graduate from Herkimer College Police Academy
    Herkimer College graduated its fourth class from the Phase I Pre-Employment Police Basic Training course at a ceremony held on Thursday, June 2, 2022. The course is offered in partnership with the Little Falls Police Department.
