Winter Mini Session

A. Requirements to receive financial aid for the Winter Mini session:

  1.)Student must be matriculated (working towards a degree or certificate) prior to the Winter Mini session
  2.)Student must be registered for both Winter Mini and Spring semesters for at least six combined credit hours.
  3.)Student must be making satisfactory academic progress (SAP) at the end of the Fall 2009 semester.
  4.)Student must have a 2009-2010 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Financial Aid) on file prior to December 11, 2009.

B.) Types of Financial Aid

  1.)Federal Pell Grant - Only those students with additional Pell Grant eligibility will have it automatically applied to their Winter Mini
      session (students that are enrolled less than full time for the Spring 2009 semester).
  2.)Federal Direct Loans - If a student has additional subsidized or unsubsidized loan eligibility (did not borrow the annual maximum
      loan amount), they will need to request the loan by completing the Winter Financial Aid Application.

Please be aware that all awards are determined based on your remaining 2009-2010 award eligibility.  Winter Mini sessions are considered a part of the Spring semester for financial aid purposes. No state aid will be available for the Winter Mini session (TAP, Part-Time TAP or APTS).

Students that have questions about their eligibility may email the Financial Aid Office at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), and include the following information:
• Name
• Date of Birth
• Number of credits registered for Winter-Mini session
• Number of credits registered for Spring semester.

Eligible students may download the Winter Financial Aid Application and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
