Financial Aid Workshops

Herkimer County Community College is offering workshops to assist families with filing their 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Professional financial aid staff will assist participants through the online process in HCCC’s computer labs.
The sessions are free of charge and open to anyone interested.

Once you registered for the program, you will be sent a confirmation email.
Prior to the Financial Aid Workshops
Each student aid applicant and at least one parent must get a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The pin application process will take less than five minutes and you will receive your PIN in 72 hours or less. Apply at http://www.pin.ed.gov
What to bring to the workshops
Student and parent’s social security numbers
Student and parent’s driver’s licenses (if applicable)
Alien registration card (non-U.S. citizens)
Student and parent’s W-2 forms and other records of income earned for 2011
Bank statements and investment (stock, bonds, etc) information
Student’s and parent’s 2011 Federal and State Income Tax Returns (Please estimate if not completed)
2011 untaxed income information (child support, workmen compensation, etc) FAFSA PIN number(s)
