Future Students
Herkimer County Community College is a college you can count on. Part of the State University of New York (SUNY), the largest comprehensive public university system in the nation, HCCC is a two-year college offering associate degrees and one-year certificates, both on-campus and online. Many of our graduates transfer to four-year public and private colleges and universities, while others find employment upon graduation. HCCC's enrollment of just over 3,000 students ensures that you learn in small classes. Faculty are friendly, experienced and know students by name.
HCCC sits on a hill overlooking the village of Herkimer in Upstate New York. We're a short drive from Albany, Utica, Syracuse and the Adirondacks, one of the nation's largest parks where recreational opportunities range from climbing the high peaks to camping, swimming and skiing. The beautiful, well-kept campus grounds are striking, and the view is breathtaking. Our national championship athletic program, intramurals, full calendar of student activities and numerous student clubs and organizations provide plenty to do outside of class. HCCC offers on-campus housing to more than 600 students, making it one of the largest residential community colleges in New York State.
Designated by SUNY as a ‘full opportunity college,' HCCC's mission is to offer all students the opportunity for a quality college education. We award more than $120,000 in scholarships annually, and 80% of our students receive some form of financial aid.
HCCC could be a great choice for you. Schedule a campus visit and come see what we're all about. Take a look around, ask questions and picture yourself as one of our students.
