Professional Development Training

Herkimer County Community College is offering professional development opportunities to community members.
OSHA Training is a 10-hour course intended to provide a variety of awareness training on construction safety and health topics. The class places an emphasis on identifying common hazards in the construction industry as well as avoidance, control and prevention. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA Construction Safety and Health 10-hour card. This training will meet for three sessions beginning on Tuesday, April 17 from 5:30 pm - 9 pm. Pre-registration is required by April 16. The fee is $79. This does not include the $5 fee for your card.
Basic Turf Equipment Maintenance will teach participants hands-on approaches to the general maintenance and repair of popular outdoor equipment. Topics will include engine theory and maintenance, electrical and governor systems, drive trains and more. This course will meet for six sessions beginning on Wednesday, April 18 from 5pm to 7pm. The fee is $70. Supplies and parts for repair are not provided.
