Student-Athletes Named to Green and Gold Club

Herkimer County Community College has named two student-athletes to the Green and Gold Club for November 2012.
The Male Athlete of the Month is Demetrius Mitchell, Men’s Basketball, Syracuse, NY. A Sports & Recreation Management senior, MItchell’s average on the season is 12.1 points per game, 44% from three, 4.0 assists and 2.4 rebounds.
Coach Matt Lee said, “Demetrius has been a great leader for us this semester. We look forward to his consistent play throughout the season.”
The Female Athlete of the Month is Whitney Brown, Women’s Basketball, Brooklyn, NY. A Sports & Recreation Management major, Brown’s average on the season is 16.2 points per game and 7.7rebounds per game. Coach Bradley Gouger said “Whitney has been our go-to scorer for the first month of the season. She leads the team in scoring and rebounding.”
HCCC’s Green and Gold Club honors an outstanding male and female athlete each month.
