Health and Fitness Classes Offered at Herkimer

Herkimer County Community College is offering the following non-credit health and fitness courses:

Burn & Firm is an easy to follow kick-boxing and step aerobics interval workout. Section A meets for five sessions on Monday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m., beginning September 20. Pre-registration is required by September 16. The fee is $30.

Total Body Sculpt is a no-nonsense, no jump and basic strength training class that works every muscle group and is great for beginners. Section A meets for five sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. beginning September 8. Pre-registration is required by September 3. The fee is $30.

Pilates is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises. Section A meets for six sessions on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. beginning September 9. Pre-registration is required by September 7. The fee is $39. Section B meets for five sessions on Mondays from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. beginning September 13. Pre-registration is required by September 9. The fee is $33.

Yoga for All, Section A meets for six sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning September 7. Pre-registration is required by September 3. The fee is $65. Gentle Yoga, Section A meets for six sessions on Thursday evenings from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. beginning September 9. Pre-registration is required by September 7. The fee is $65. Yoga Workout, Section A meets for six sessions on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning September 9. Pre-registration is required by September 7. The fee is $65.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice that is also known as a rejuvenator of health and vitality.  It is meditative in nature teaching body/mind control, useful in all of life’s activities. The class meets for five Saturday morning sessions from 10 to 11:00 a.m. beginning on September 11.  Pre-registration is required by September 7.  The fee is $54.
