Computer Training Courses

Herkimer County Community College is offering two non-credit introductory computer courses. Basic Computer Fundamentals- Level I is designed for those who have little or no prior knowledge of computer equipment or software. The course includes hands-on training by teaching basic computer skills. Participants will be exposed to the Windows operating system, computer terminology and basic word processing. The class is one session on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required by September 22. The fee is $42.
Introduction to PowerPoint will teach students unfamiliar with this popular software the basics of creating simple slideshow presentations, choosing and changing color schemes and much more. This hands-on course is a must for the active business professional and anyone who needs to make effective presentations. The class will meet for one session on Monday, September 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required by September 24. The fee is $39.
