Cybersecurity Training Program Offered at Herkimer News RSS Feed

Herkimer County Community College is offering a 32-hour cybersecurity training program to individuals looking to augment their technology skills in a challenging and competitive job market. Offered in partnership with Herkimer Working Solutions One-Stop Career Center and regional education partners, the program is provided at no cost to qualified individuals as a result of grant funding from the United States Department of Labor.

Fast Lane to Cybersecurity will introduce participants to the basics of the cyber field. Topics to be covered include Math, Operating Systems, Network Fundamentals, Network Security, and Computer Science. Session A is four sessions on Monday- Thursday, June 27- 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by June 22.  Session B is four sessions on Monday - Thursday, August 8-11, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by August 3. Session C will be offered in eight sessions on Monday - Thursday evenings from 5-9 p.m. beginning July 11. Pre-registration is required by July 6. Intermediate computer skills are required. Participants will receive a non-credit certificate of completion upon successful completion of the training program.

All sessions will take place on the HCCC campus. Pre-registration can be completed by calling (315) 866-0300 ext. 8254, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
