Festival of Lights at Herkimer Mini Park

Herkimer County Community College is planning a “Festival of Lights” on Wednesday, December 2 at the Herkimer Mini Park, located on the corner of West Smith and William Streets. The festival will begin at the park at 7 p.m. followed by a reception at the Herkimer Area Resource Center Learning Center, located at 344 South Main Street. In addition to the official lighting of the park, the event includes a presentation of colors by the Herkimer VFW and entertainment by the Herkimer High School band. A highlight of the evening will be Santa’s arrival by fire truck.
HCCC students participate in activities throughout the year to support the park including fundraisers and a park clean-up day. Most recently, members of the HCCC men’s basketball team decorated the park with holiday lights in preparation for the official lighting on December 2.
