Free Computer Training Program Offered at Herkimer

Herkimer County Community College is offering a 28-hour Introduction to Computers training program to individuals looking to augment their technology skills in a challenging and competitive job market. Offered in partnership with Herkimer Working Solutions One-Stop Career Center and regional education partners, the program is provided at no cost to qualified individuals as a result of grant funding from the United States Department of Labor.
Introduction to Computers will introduce participants to the basics of computer technology in a hands-on learning environment. Topics to be covered include basic computer applications, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. The course will run from September 12-October 9 on Mondays from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by September 8. Space is limited.
The class will take place on the HCCC campus. Pre-registration can be completed by calling (315) 866-0300 ext. 8254, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
