HCCC Offers Welding Courses News RSS Feed

Herkimer County Community College will offer Basic Welding, an introductory non-credit course teaching safety, oxyacetylene (Brazing & Gas) welding and cutting, basics of stick welding and how to repair ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The class will meet for eight sessions beginning on Monday, February 25 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Pre-registration is required by February 20. The fee is $190 which includes supplies and materials except individual’s helmet, safety glasses and leather work boots.

Intermediate Welding will focus on TIG and MIG Welding. Participants will learn to weld stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Students must have taken Basic Welding or must provide proof of prior welding experience. The class will meet for eight sessions beginning on Wednesday, February 27 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Pre-registration is required by February 20. The fee is $190 which includes supplies and materials except individual’s helmet, safety glasses and leather work boots.
