Men’s Soccer Team to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

The Herkimer County Community College men’s soccer team will hold a Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Thursday, October 8 as the #1 nationally ranked HCCC takes on Onondaga Community College. The Generals will wear pink jerseys donated by Impressions Now of Herkimer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support. Coach Pepe Aragon said, “We hope that by lighting the stadium up in pink for this special night, that we will help spread the word to our students and fans about the importance of breast cancer awareness.” Also at the game, $1 donation cards will be sold to help support the local American Cancer Society.
Kick-off is at 7 p.m. at Wehrum Stadium. In addition to the Breast Cancer Awareness activities, there will be halftime contests and giveaways throughout the game.
