Student Survival Guide Herkimer County Community College will hold its New Student Orientation Friday/Saturday, January 20 - 21, 2012
Congratulations on choosing Herkimer County Community College to further your higher education. We are excited that you have chosen to be part of our campus community, and we look forward to your many positive contributions.
Orientation is a mandatory program for new students, which is designed to help transition you to HCCC and our community. You will get the chance to meet new friends, get more comfortable with our campus; attend interesting programs, and have fun.

Friday, January 20th
9 am - 10 am (Optional) Campus Tours (RMCC Upper Lobby)
10 am - 10:30 am Check-in (RMCC Upper Lobby)
10:30 am Welcome (RMCC 247)
11:15 am - 11:45 am Meet with Academic Advisor
11:45 am Lunch
12:30 pm - 1 pm Campus Safety Presentation (RMCC 247)
1 pm - 1:30 pm Q & A session with our Student Ambassadors (RMCC 247)
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Team-building
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm Open time to do the following:
Visit Financial Aid Office, to see that all financial aid is processed & paperwork is complete
Visit the Bursar's Office to pay your bill
Visit the Health Office to hand in your health forms
Visit the computer lab (TC 312) for help with Student Online Services, your college email account & password
Visit the college bookstore to purchase books, non-residential student parking permits & college student ID's
7 pm Joshua Seth "The Rock Star of Comedy Hypnosis" (RMCC 247)
Saturday, January 21st
1 pm Residential Meetings (RMCC 288)
3 pm - 7pm Blitz Ball (Varsity Gym), Open Gym (Rec Gym) & Open Swim (Pool 4 pm - 6pm only)
7 pm Movie: "Step Up 3" (Rec Gym)
