Herkimer County Community College will hold its New Student Orientation Tuesday, August 24th & Wednesday, August 25th
Congratulations on choosing Herkimer County Community College to further your higher education. We are excited that you have chosen to be part of our campus community, and we look forward to your many positive contributions.
Orientation is a mandatory program for new students, which is designed to help transition you to HCCC and our community. You will get the chance to meet new friends, get more comfortable with our campus; attend interesting programs, and have fun.

Tuesday
8 am - 4 pm College Offices open for your convenience
- Do you need to pay your bill? Visit the Bursar's Office located in CA 258.
- Do you need to get your student ID card or purchase books? Visit the Bookstore located in the Library
building.
- Do you have questions about your financial aid? Visit the Financial Aid Office located in CC building.
9 am - 4 pm New Residential Students Arrive - (Please refer to your room assignment mailing for specific times and additional information.)
10:30 am - 4 pm The General's Store will be open for your convenience - (Food and drinks available for purchase, 1st Floor, RMCC Building.)
1 - 2 pm & 3 - 4 pm Understanding the College Years: A session for parents (RMCC 247)
(*Same session offered twice for your convenience.)
2 - 4 pm "It's about getting from where you are to where you're going...without getting lost!"
Interested in finding out where your classes are? Let our Student Ambassadors help you find your way - meet us in the RMCC Upper Lobby, be sure to bring your class schedule with you! Groups will leave every 15 minutes.
5 - 6 pm 1st Year Residential Student Mandatory Meeting (RMCC 247)
6 - 9 pm The General's Mixer (RMCC Lobby) - Music, games, prizes, and chocolate!
Wednesday
8:15 - 8:45 am Student Check-in (Technology Center)
8:45 - 11 am Convocation (PE Varsity Gym)
11 - 11:15 am Dismiss to Academic Advising Session
11:15 - 11:45 am Academic Advising Session (Various Locations) - Please note that the Human Services & Criminal Justice majors will be meeting with their
advisors & the program faculty from 11:15 am -1:30 pm.
11:45 am - 3:30 pm Cafeteria Open for Lunch (RMCC 1st Floor)
12 - 2 pm Veteran Affairs (RMCC 282/283) - Are you a veteran? Drop by for important information - you won't want to miss this!
12:30 pm - 4 pm The General's Block Party! (RMCC Lawn), Food, games, music and more!
