Student Activities
Mission of the Student Activities Office
The mission of the Herkimer County Community College's Student Activities Office is to help promote personal and professional development in a fun and exciting educational environment. The office produces excellent quality programs that affect our diverse student body. Through these activities, students learn teamwork and how to develop into well-rounded leaders.
Our Goal:
The goal of the Student Activities Office is to help students make the most of their college experience outside of the classroom through many opportunities that exist at HCCC.
Our goal is to serve and assist students in existing organizations, as well as students interested in starting new organizations. The office also helps with room reservations, equipment requests and promotion of activities. We also help students develop the skills needed and required to run successful programming events. The Student Activities Office works hard to provide exciting programming for the HCCC student body.
The Faculty Student Association of HCCC currently sponsors 34 student clubs & organizations on campus. These various clubs & organizations are open to all interested students.
Major Programs:
- Fall & Spring New Student Orientation Program
- Parents & Alumni Weekend
- Leadership Opportunities & Leadership Program

The HCCC Student Activities Office held its first Student Activities Open House on 1/30/07 at 12:30p in RMCC 217. It was a chance to learn more about where they are, what they do, and what they can offer you! Information on student clubs & organizations, volunteer & leadership opportunities, and campus wide events was made available. Several fun giveaways as well as a "Raffle for Rachael Ray", won by HCCC student Mike Vercz, helped topped off the event. |
