College Amnesty International Club Announces November Action

Herkimer College’s Amnesty International Club has announced its November Action which will include petition signing, including a petition to free Brittany Griner – the American WNBA star recently sentenced to nine years in a Russian penal colony.

The Amnesty International Club table, containing these petitions and other information, is in the College Library. The Club asks the campus and wider community to join over 300,000 petition signees and support the U.S. Government in bringing Griner and other Americans home.

Students can write to Griner at WEAREBG@TeamWass.com. Follow WEAEBG, WNBPA and Athletes for impact on social media and for the latest content, updates, and information follow @TheWNBPA and @Athletes4Impact. Share hashtags with your community #WeAreBG and #BringThemHome.

In addition to Griner, the November Action includes petitions for several other individuals worldwide who are unjustly imprisoned. For the full story, visit Herkimer College’s student newspaper, The General.
