Travel & Events Management A.A.S.
Exciting careers in travel, tourism, hospitality, and events planning.
The Travel and Events Management A.A.S. program prepares you for a wide variety of employment opportunities in the travel, hospitality, and events planning fields. You’ll learn hospitality business operations in fundamental areas, such as meetings and conventions, hotel sales, and operations management.
You’ll also gain onsite experiential learning in the tourism industry at sites such as hotels, resorts, convention centers, event management companies, airlines, convention and visitor's bureaus, Walt Disney World, and the American Hospitality Academy.
While Herkimer’s Travel and Tourism program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions, many students go on to a four-year college. Transfer articulation agreements have been established with Niagara University, SUNY Delhi, and Rochester Institute of Technology.
A hands-on internship experience is built into the program. Internships range from 60 to 120 hours and 3 to 6 credits.
