    Men’s Soccer Moves to 6-0-0 in 2-0 Win Over Onondaga
    Herkimer, NY – The Herkimer Men’s Soccer team scored two second half goals to defeat Onondaga CC 2-0 in a Region III showdown.  Freshman Shuntaro Morimoto (Kanagawa, Japan) scored the first goal of the game in the 67th minute off an assist from senior Heath Lucas (Chazy, NY).  Lucas played an early ball into the penalty area where Morimoto headed the ball to the near post for the goal.  Sophomore Ali Somow (Utica, NY) finished off the scoring one minute later in the 68th minute off an assist from Morimoto.  Morimoto played a ball into Somow in the penalty area where he took on two defenders and finished far post.

    The Herkimer County Arts & Crafts Fair is returning to Herkimer College, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, November 12.

    Somow Scores Game winner in Double OT
    Herkimer, NY – Sophomore Ali Somow (Utica, NY) scored the game winning goal in the 109th minute.  The lone goal of the game came off a fifteen-yard pass from Freshman wing back Zain Ibrhim (Manhattan, NY) who served the ball to freshman Shuntaro Morimoto (Kanagawa, Japan) at the top of the penalty area.  Morimoto played a one touch pass to Somow who beat his defender and finished side netting of the far post.

    Herkimer College will hold its annual Fall Fest & Alumni Weekend beginning with the Herkimer Generals Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, September 30, and continuing through Saturday, October 1.
